The Support for Elderly Autonomy Program Directorate Program—Long-Term Care is pleased to release the latest edition of its welcome guide for people residing in CHSLDs and the Dorval Alternative Home and the loved ones.
Produced in collaboration with the Multidisciplinary Services and Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Physical Disability Programs Directorate and the Communications, Public Relations, and Legal Affairs Directorate, the guide provides useful information for people moving into their new living environment.
The publication of the Welcome Guide for the resident and their loved ones is part of the Residential and Long-term Care Policy 2021–2026. Measure 6 of that plan aims to “welcome, accompany, and support people throughout their stay in residential care.”
