Social communication

Would you like to contact a loved one living in one of our residential resources? Schedule an appointment online and we will contact you for a phone call or a video call!

Please note that the appointment scheduling platform is valid for those in the following residences only:

Procedure

Using your smartphone, tablet or personal computer, go to our appointment scheduling platform. *The platform is not compatible with Internet Explorer. Please use a different web browser (e.g., Chrome, Safari). 

Steps

  1. Select the “Phone call” or “Video call” option.
  2. Select the name of the facility where your loved one resides.
  3. Select a date and a time for your appointment.*
  4. Fill out the short form with your information and that of the person you wish to contact.

Once that is done, you will instantly receive an email confirming your appointment. A second email confirming the date and time of your appointment, along with the hyperlink if you have chosen a video call, will be sent to you at the beginning of the day on which your call is scheduled.

Also note that a person will be with your loved one during the call to facilitate communication.

* In an effort to allow as many people as possible to take advantage of these services, we cannot ensure more than one social communication per week and per family. If there are time slots that are not taken, they will be offered to the families who would like to schedule a 2nd appointment.


Videos

One video, which lasts about 10 minutes, is intended for service aides who accompany residents and patients during their virtual visits with loved ones. A second video has been developed for loved ones. These tools provide helpful advice on making such visits a success: individual preparation, setting the scene, keeping interactions positive, topics to keep the conversation going, etc.

The service is available Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.
