“There is nothing more important than trust when it comes to patient-physician relationships,” states Dr. Ari Meguerditchian, Scientific Director of St. Mary’s Research Centre in an interview with Le Devoir journalist Pauline Gravel. He adds, “The strength of the bond is such that you are able to entrust your life to a complete stranger within five to seven minutes of meeting them. That trust, which comes with tremendous responsibility, is taken very seriously.”
“With every scientific advance, cancer is becoming more of a treatable disease, or at least a chronic disease that can be managed. We have gone from something that was once black or white to something that is shades of grey,” concludes Dr. Meguerditchian.
