On August 21, a “4 à 7” on demystifying the technological tools in the continuum of care for seniors was held. The event, attended by dedicated practitioners, inspiring innovators, health and social services professionals and local partners, showcased the latest technological advances designed to improve the quality of life of seniors.
Among the featured guests was Philippe Voyer, a leading authority on the subject. Participants welcomed the opportunity to engage with and learn from this impassioned expert. In addition to highlighting the potential impact of these new technologies on improving the continuum of care for seniors, the conference also strengthened the technological community’s commitment to working closely with healthcare professionals and caregivers to build a better future for our seniors.
Besides Mr. Voyer’s presentation, several booths were set up and manned by CIUSSS employees and local suppliers. A number of demonstrations were also held, featuring health technologies such as health monitoring applications, technologies that enhance the autonomy of seniors, and furniture adapted to older adults.
By uniting various stakeholders around a common goal, this event laid the foundation for a lasting and fruitful collaboration aimed at improving the quality of life of seniors through technological innovations. As this industry continues to grow, it is clear that technology will play a key role in reshaping senior healthcare and wellness.
