Breastfeeding Week kicks off today and the theme for this year is “Closing the Gap: Breastfeeding Support for All.”
In 2024, it is essential that as many breastfeeding resources as possible be made available to all mothers, especially the most vulnerable ones. Karina Kubay, Head of the Birth Continuum at LaSalle Hospital, and Laurie-Anne Ethier, Head of the Birth Continuum at Lakeshore General Hospital, explained their views on the subject and the actions taken every day to ensure that all mothers have an equal chance of a positive breastfeeding experience.
