The annual commemorative ceremony organized by The Last Post Fund’s Québec chapter, took place at the National Field of Honour in Pointe-Claire on Sunday, June 11, under a bright and sunny sky. This year the ceremony was dedicated to the brave men who served during the Korean War. July 27 will mark the 70th anniversary of the armistice ending that conflict.
Our Associate President and CEO, Najia Hachimi-Idrissi, was in attendance to lay a wreath on behalf of the CIUSSS de l’Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal.
This ceremony commemorates all Canadian and Allied military personnel who served during the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War, and numerous United Nations missions. This year’s guest of honour was Colonel Dongwon Lee, Defence Attaché with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Canada.
