Merii Kurisumasu!
Merii Kurisumasu!
Are you familiar with Furoshiki? This traditional Japanese technique, which has been around for more than 1000 years, involves folding and knotting fabric to wrap gifts and carry goods. Talk about a fantastic and eco-friendly alternative to wrapping paper, which is not always recyclable and ends up creating heaps of waste in our landfills during the holidays.
All you need is a piece of fabric such as a napkin or tea towel to create wrapping that is beautiful, unique and reusable. Why not add a small branch of greenery, a cinnamon stick, a tasty treat or any other decorative item of your choice. Let your imagination run wild!
Happy holidays!
