Looking for a New Challenge? Become a PAB!
There is an accelerated training program available to qualify candidates as beneficiary attendants (PAB). The next group of students will begin their courses on September 5. Our CIUSSS has an urgent need for added staff, particularly in CHSLD settings. You could make a significant contribution to the care and services our residents receive!
This 375-hour training program will be offered in French at CIUSSS facilities with courses scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (4 weeks of theory and 8 weeks of practical training). The theory courses will be taught at Ste. Anne’s Hospital. Once the theory courses have been completed, the practical training will take place at various facilities. The course leads to an Attestation of Professional Studies in Soins d’assistance en établissement de soins de longue durée (AEP SSAES- 4248) from the Centre de service scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys.
The selected candidates will receive a $12 000 nontaxable bursary for successful completion of the course. Payments are made in three instalments at the beginning, the midpoint, and the end of the program. Candidates must commit to working as a PAB at the CIUSSS for six months after completing the program to keep their bursary.
