Owing to the exceptional dedication of West Island resident Alana Edwards, the heartwarming “ Elves for Senior” gift drive for seniors living on our territory is back again this year.
Ms. Edwards’ project encourages members of the community to visit one of the participating businesses and to pick an envelope from their Christmas tree. In the envelope is the name of a senior, the residence where they live, along with a gift suggestion. The idea is to buy a gift with a maximum value of $30, and drop it off at the business where they picked the name not wrapped. The gifts will then be distributed to the various seniors’ residences.
Residents from eight residences will benefit from the generosity of our community members.
