Conference on Cultural Safety: Sécurisation culturelle : mieux comprendre les Premiers Peuples pour mieux intervenir

The CHUM and its community of practice welcome the public to attend a presentation by Pierre Picard on June 21 at noon. To mark National Indigenous Peoples Day, the CRCHUM will host a presentation by Pierre Picard entitled Sécurisation culturelle : mieux comprendre les Premiers Peuples pour mieux intervenir. The event will be held in the 5th floor auditorium. Pierre Picard is a member of the Wendat Nation and director of the Groupe de recherche et d’interventions psychosociales en milieu authochtone (GRIPMA).  

The conference will be hosted (in French) by Marie-Eve Desrosiers, interim President and CEO of the CHUM. Mike Standup, a Mohawk spiritual healer and a member of the CHUM’s Indigenous Consultation Committee, will open and close the event (in English). French-to-English simultaneous interpretation will be available to those attending via the Zoom platform. Those attending in person needing English interpretation will need to log into Zoom on their mobile device and use headphones.
