The Code of Ethics is designed to inform you of your rights. It lays down the practices and conduct expected of Montréal West Island Integrated University Health and Social Services Centre (IUHSSC) personnel in dealing with Centre’s users. The Code of Ethics also identifies your responsibilities and those of your representatives concerning your health and well-being. This Code serves as guide to support us in the daily performance of our duties and encourages us to make every effort towards the ongoing improvement of our services.
Use of personal and confidential information
The law provides that a health and social services institution may use, for specific purposes and under certain conditions, personal information contained in the user’s file. This information is used only by duly authorized persons exclusively for its intended purposes and in accordance with confidentiality guidelines. As such, the Montréal West Island IUHSSC can use the name, address, and telephone number of a user during a survey on customer satisfaction or the solicitation of donations to benefit the foundations. A user may refuse and may at any time request that the institution not use them by dialing 514-630-2225, ext. 5253.
