Project to upgrade and modernize St. Mary's Hospital Center

On December 15th, the Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr. Gaétan Barrette, and the Minister responsible for Higher Education, Minister responsible for the Status of Women and Member of Parliament for Outremont, Hélène David, announced the registration of a project to upgrade and modernize St. Mary's Hospital Center to the Québec Infrastructure Plan as a "project under study".

They also announced the awarding of $ 1.5 million to the Montréal West Island Integrated University Health and Social Services Center to begin the development of the project file.

The overall cost of the project is $ 65 million and will be funded largely by the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux, with $ 15 million provided by the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation.
