November is the Radon Awareness Month

Radon is a radioactive gas that forms from uranium present naturally in Earth’s crust. Radon can seep into buildings where it can accumulate and reach sometimes levels that are dangerous to health.

To learn more about its health effects, the sources of radon in a building, the way to measure it and the means to minimise infiltration, go to the Residential Radon page on the Web site of the Gouvernement du Québec.
