The Montréal West Island Integrated University Health and Social Services Centre is happy to announce that as of July 24, a new walk-in COVID-19 community mobile testing site will be available on its territory for the summer months. This service offering is in addition to the multiple initiatives our institution has implemented since the beginning of the pandemic to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our communities.
This site will be deployed on a rotating schedule in areas where a risk of potential outbreaks has been identified. Here is the deployment schedule per sector:
8681 Champlain Boulevard, LaSalle, QC H8P 1B8
Fridays and Saturdays, from July 24 to August 22
10 am to 5 pm
This mobile site, with a capacity of 120 tests per day, has been mandated to carry out mass testing of the population free of charge. If you want to be tested, come meet with our nurse on site. The results will be available in a few days; you will be informed by email if the result is negative and by telephone if the result is positive.
Using a mobile testing site will make screening more accessible to people closer to home. The selected location is easily accessible by public transit. It is important to bring your health insurance card and driver’s license, if available.
We wish to remind you that regular handwashing with soap and water for 20 seconds remains the most effective hygiene measure for preventing the spread of all infections.
The Montréal West Island IUHSSC thanks the Borough of LaSalle for its collaboration on this project.
