New report on cancer patient experience

The Montreal West Island IUHSSC is committed to providing exceptional care. Measuring our performance is one of the best ways to ensure that we continue to offer top quality care. With this in mind, a new report on cancer patient experience was published on September 20. The report was prepared as part of an initiative led by the Rossy Cancer Network (RCN)—a partnership between McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine and St. Mary’s Hospital Center, along with the McGill University Health Centre and the Jewish General Hospital.

The report summarizes data from the past 5 years gathered from close to 3 300 patient responses to the Ambulatory Outpatient Satisfaction Survey (AOPSS) in the oncology centres of the three RCN partner hospitals. The report provides a clear picture of areas that patients feel need improvement in their care experience, and can help shape interventions and improvements.
