In December 2007, the United Nations declared April 2 as World Autism Awareness Day. Autism Awareness Day is an opportunity for the Fédération québécoise de l’autisme to increase awareness about the needs of autistic persons and their families.
As such, April is the perfect time to educate the public about autism and break prejudices—the main obstacle for the social integration of autistic persons.
Several awareness-raising activities are organized all across Quebec by regional associations, in conjunction with various organizations from the public and private sectors. Click here to consult the calender of activities (in French only).
This April, discover the many faces of autism.
