The Montréal West Island Integrated University Health and Social Services Centre (Montréal West Island IUHSSC) fully contributes to its university mission by developing rich and varied internship programs and by creating healthy, safe, and stimulating learning environments.
Each year, the Academic Affairs, Teaching and Research Directorate oversees more than 800 vocational non-medical internships in more than 25 clinical and administrative disciplines throughout the Montréal West Island IUHSSC. We work in collaboration with our privileged partner, McGill University, but also with some 20 other universities and specialized schools across Quebec—such as HEC Montréal, Barreau du Québec, and École Polytechnique—as well as other universities in Canada and abroad.
We offer internship programs throughout our installations, namely at St. Mary’s Hospital Center and Douglas Mental Health University Institute, as well as in two other university designated facilities.
If you want to do an internship at the Montréal West Island IUHSSC, please contact the person in charge of internships in your faculty or university department, as it is common for universities to plan internships for their students themselves. Furthermore, the universities normally contact us.
